I'm very sorry, that the latest articles I uploaded go a bit zig-zag through the last year.
Sometimes it's because there are some adventures I'm not yet sure how to write about.
I hope you understand and enjoy reading some articles twice.

I made to Cádiz, too early.
The weather is great - I burned myself pretty good.

I left Fuenterroble de Salvatierra earlier as planned and will be heading further south to see the carnival of Cádiz.
I already enjoyed the Sierra de Béjar and the Behesa on my way to Sevilla.

I left Fisterra on New Year's Day and froze my way through Galicia. Castilia y Leon is a little bit warmer, though I think up here at Fuenterroble de Salvatierra it's just less moist.
But I finally made it to the albergue of padre Blas.

I’ve lost Bernhard, but found some new company with an electric guitar. Also I helped as a hospitalero for the first time – quite some work.

I found my first fellow pilgrim faster than I could have wished for and he seems to be a perfect match. He wants to enhance his English-skills and he’s as open-minded as a real pilgrim should be. BINGO!

long time no see. I’ve turned away from the Via Lemogiensis eastward along the canal latéral à la Garonne to the Mediterranean sea, but I didn’t get very far. But I met some really nice friends at the first camping and we had some interesting adventures.

Saint Foy la Grande – Pellegrue – La Réole – Basanne My last day on the French chemin de Saint Jacques was very short but for sure a highlight. We left very late and searched for a supermarché. In a small magasin Alex found everything he was looking for, I did not. At Cazenat we split because the pedestrian precinct was too thin for my trailer. I followed the pilgrims-route more or less through the vineyards until I had to rest at Pellegrue for an hour. On my map it looked like I would...

Saint Astier - Mussidan – Saint Gery – Saint Foy la Grande Memo to myself and a good tip to everybody else: never ever sleep without a tent next to some huge amount of water. My sleeping bag was very moist in its lower region in the morning, which means I woke with very cold feet. Luckily I know a nice way to heat them up: cycling. I entered Saint Astier very early and left it not much later. On the road to Saint Louis en l’Isle there weren’t much cars nor hills. That’s how I like to...
